with the new update [0.6.5] it takes 2000-30000ms more to scan. In fact, there should be no ms limitation.

Could you please explain your use case, why you need no ms limitation?
Main reason for the validation is for users not to miscofigure by putting huge numbers and causing unnecessary wait time.
